Markus began his bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in economics at the Technical University of Munich in October 2018. From October 2022, he attended the Master's program Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science at the TU Munich, which he completed in November 2024 with a thesis on Parametric Cyber Insurance at the Chair of Financial Mathematics. During his studies, Markus gained his first experience abroad as a visiting student at Balliol College at Oxford University and deepened his practical knowledge through internships in the consulting team “Finance and Performance” for Deloitte, in the actuarial department of Allianz Germany and in reserving at Munich RE.

Markus has been working on his doctorate at the Chair of Financial Mathematics since December 2024.
