Tim is a PhD student in the Optimization and Data Analysis group at the School of Computation, Information and Technology of the Technical University of Munich. He received a bachelor's degree at TUM and a master's double degree at TUM and the KTH Royal Institue of Technology in Stockholm.

His research interests lie in applied mathematics with a particular focus on the design and numerical analysis of algorithms and methods used in machine learning, data analysis and signal processing. He is working on problems connected to compressed sensing, analyzing underlying probability concentrations and developing runtime efficient algorithms.
