My Way: Joana Cirici

FACETS |

In the new event series "My Way" organized by the Departments intitiative FACETS of Mathematicians we explore different life paths of mathematicians. On 25 May we start with Joana Cirici. Everyone is welcome!

Life paths of mathematicians

Career paths of mathematicians often are winding and don't follow a straight line. In the new event series "My Way" we explore different life paths of mathematicians and hear their stories.

We start with Joana Cirici who will tell us about "her way". Joana Cirici is a tenure-track lecturer at the University of Barcelona, working on Algebraic Topology, Algebraic Geometry, and Complex Geometry. She has 2 children, is married to an academic, and will tell us about her math life balancing career, family, and moving through Europe.

Everyone is welcome to join on Tuesday, 25 May 2021 from 14:30 to 15:30 via Zoom. The link for the Zoom-Meeting is available upon request under facets@ma.tum.de.

The series "My Way" is a project of our Department's FACETS of Mathematicians initiative. Please visit our website for more details on FACETS of Mathematicians.
